一、本课知识点
1. Li Ming and Kangkang are in the schoollibrary.李明和康康在学校图书馆。
(1) in the school library
在学校图书馆,在教室、实验室、体育馆等室内均用介词in;
而在操场和在农场等室外开阔地要用on。如:
在教室/实验室/体育馆
on the playground/farm在操场上/在农场里
[链接]像library 这样的以辅音字母加 y结尾的可数名词,其复数形式要变y为i再加es,即为libraries。如:
city-cities, strawbery- -strawberries, baby-babies

(1) may为情态动词,后接动词原形,表示允许、建议、请求等。may 表示请求时多用于第一人称的一般疑问句中,其否定回答用mustn’t,不用may not,意为“不可以, 不许”。如:
爸爸,我现在可以看电视吗?
不,不可以。
(2) borrow意为“借入”,表示主语(人)向某人借东西,习惯上用borrow sth. from sb.或borrow one’s sth.。 如:
我可以借一下你的尺子吗?

lend 意为“借出”, 表示主语(人)把东西借给别人。习惯上用lend sth. to sb.也可以用lend sb. sth. 如:
=My teacher often lends me story books.
我的老师经常借给我故事书。
3. The girl loks for the books on the shelves.这女孩在书架上找这些书。
(1) look for “寻找”。如:
The boy is looking for his dog. 这个男孩正在找他的狗。
比较] find 为及物动词,意为“找到”,强调寻找的结果;
look for 意为“寻找”,强调寻找的动作和过程;
即find是look for 的结果,而look for 是find之前的过程。如:
I look for my pen everywhere and finally find it on the desk.我到处找钢笔,最后在课桌上找到了。
(2) shelves意为“书架” ,是shelf的复数形式。
[链接] 像shelf这样以f/fe结尾的名词,其复数形式要变f/fe为v再加es。
此类名词还有leaf- leaves; knife- knives 等。
我们可以通过下面这个口诀记忆:
妻子(wife)拿刀(knife)去砍狼(wolf), 小偷(thief)躲在架子(shelf)旁, 半片(half)树叶(leaf)自己(self)黄, 生命(life)易逝并不长。 |
4.How long can I keep them? 我能借多久?
(1)How long 意为“多久,多长时间”,用来询问某个动作持续的时间。谓语动词一般为持续性动词。答语通常是表示一段时间的名词性短语。
–How long will we stay here?我们要在这待多久?
–About three days.大约三天。

(2) keep意为“保存”, 是及物动词,习惯上用”keep sth. for+时间段”。如:
We can keep the book for two weeks.我们可以借这本书两周。

keep用作及物动词, 可用于”keep+宾语+宾语补足语”结构,意为…..保持某种状态”。宾语补足语般由形容词、 副词、介词短语等充当。如:
我想留长发。
Keep the children away from danger.让孩子们远离危险。

“保留,保存” | keep sh. For+ 时间段 |
[注意] keep可以与表示段时间的状语连用,而borrow和lend则不能。如:
我可以借这本书一周。”
可以翻译为: I can keep the book for one week.
不能翻译成: I can borrow the book for one week.
5. You must return them on time.你一-定要按时归还。
(1) return意为“归还”,是及物动词,相当于give back。如:
I have to return/give back some books to the library.我得去图书馆还些书。
拓展] return 意为“返回,回来”时是不及物动词,相当于come back。
return to+地点,表示“回到….地方”;
return from+地点,表示“…..回来”.如:
马克明年要回美国。
马克昨天从美国回来了。
(2) on time 意为“按时,准时”。常指火车、飞机等准点到达,强调不早不迟。
in time 意为“及时”,后面可接for sth.或to do sth,强调在规定的时间之前,以不迟到为标准。如:
The train arrives on time.火车准时到达。
We get there in time.我们及时到达那儿。

表示未能达成求助,以示礼貌的答谢语。类似的表达方式还有 Thank you anyway.
7. What’s in it?(你的钱包)里面有什么?
句型“What’s+ 介词短语?”常用来询问某处有什么。其答语常用there be句型( Unit 6中将要学习)。如:
箱子里有什么?
-There are some books in it.里面有些书。
8. Here is a wallet, but it isn’t yours.这有一个钱包,但它不是你的。
“Here is a wallet.”是倒装句。英语中副词here, there等位于句首时,习惯上用倒装句,即谓语动词或谓语动词的一部分放在主语之前。 如:
Here comes the bus.公交车来了。如果句子的主语是代词时,则不倒装。如:
Here you are.给你。
9.根据对话,帮助简写一则寻物启事。简的电话:820-9764.
